Deepening your practice – Sunday 9 May 10.00 – 12.00 (Zoom Online)

While we slowly inch towards greater freedoms from lockdown, I’ve decided to bring together some material which has been percolating in my mind for a while and offer an online workshop on deepening your yoga practice.

During my time teaching I have observed that many students reach a level in their practice where they can execute Sun Salutations, Warrior poses and even headstands with relative ease but struggle to know how they can advance their practice beyond formulaic asana. Being inundated with beautiful images on social media of yogis in complex postures also reinforces the idea that “advanced practice” means physically challenging practice – but for many of us, this may not resonate.

So how do we advance our practice? How do we make our practice relevant, meaningful and connected to personal truth? How can we continue to practice yoga year after year, while keeping things fresh and creative? And how can we kindle that special feeling of depth and connectedness, which we experience in the yoga studio, at home in our personal practice? These are some of the questions which I hope we can explore together in this workshop.

Come along with an open mind and a spirit of curiosity! We will practise a blend of meditation, asana, journaling and out-of-the-box thinking!

All levels are welcome – some familiarity with basic yoga poses would be helpful.

Sliding scale prices: suggested price £15; £10 for those on reduced income; £20 if you feel you can and would like to offer a bit more!
